Women were progressive, realistic and altruistic; men were superstitious, impulsive and self-interested.
There was much misery in the world. Male greed and ignorance left much of the population in poverty. The technology to eliminate the need for much labor had existed for a very long time. It remained confined in the laboratory. Greedy men said it would disrupt the social fabric, i.e., diminish their wealth and power.
What men called religion as mostly a patchwork of self-serving beliefs rooted in wishful thinking.
Women knew that they possessed the knowledge with which to eliminate much of the population's suffering. There were many more men than women. That, tradition and ruthless manipulation kept men in power and the world in misery.
Men regarded women as hopeless dreamers. Aside from extorting technological developments that advanced their interests, men tended ignore females in their ivory towers. Women were useful, important for procreation but little more.
It never occurred to the male majority than women might decide to seek political power. Even if they had known, they would have laughed at the "silly women." Self-deluded the male elite never questioned or worried about the status quo.
The Gynarchic Revolution might have occurred earlier. Their humanist traditions dissuaded women from violence. Prolonged frustration finally made them face the truth. If they were to save the world from men, many men must die.
Knowing it would be abused; women had hidden weapons technology from men. They had much secret learning. That foolishly idealistic women might conceal anything was again outside the imagination of male self-absorption.
Social theorists had long studied male habits. They had never expected to make use of this data. They would be the ones that determined the date and time when women would begin their revolution.
They chose the common day of rest. And selected the hour it was felt men would be most relaxed.
Public restrooms were common targets. Nowhere would men be more defenseless. Of course, there were many more venues. These were the places frequented by the most powerful of the male elite.
With these men dead, the patriarchal culture was almost without a head. A year would pass before the women were in full control. So many men died. Executions were the only means to force men to surrender.
Stark realism saw the total enslavement of the remaining male population. Forming a government including men was hopeless. At first, there was hope that future generations of males could achieve equality.
Time demonstrated that male brains are inherently less capable of reason and discipline. Men would always tend to be superstitious and self-aggrandizing without female authority.
The male population is small. There is little use for males. Men are now chattel. That will never change. Robots could replace male servants but women enjoy the personal service of their slave men.
Men know their world's history. It is impossible for them to believe they ever dominated it. Women are so manifestly superior. The slave men do not doubt that the Gynarchic Revolution and the mass slaughter of men was anything other than just.
